Yesterday was Lincoln's best day yet. All of his numbers looked good, especially oxygen levels. The doctors were pleased enough to start weaning one of his 7 medicines this morning, just a little, to see how he reacted. He did well with that, so at 12 noon today they decreased his ventilator oxygen level by 2 percent. If he continues to do well (or "be a good boy" as his neonatologist says) they will continue to slowly take things away.
We don't know how fast they will remove/reduce meds. We haven't been told what the exact requirements will be for him to have his surgery. We just take every hour as it comes. Lincoln will be four days old within the hour. He is a sweetie and we love him.
